The technology of wastewater treatment in Grosuplje municipality is SBR (sequential reactor). The treatment plant covers the intake of cesspool contents, input pumping, mechanical pre-treatment with finely rakes, a grease, sand and sludge trap, biological treatment in sequential pools with floor aeration and the collection of excess sludge in the sludge storage, management on a anaerobic treatment and the final treatment of sludge with a centrifuge. The extraction of electricity from biogas from the digester is carried out.
